How can I partner with Chris & Dana?

While the Byers family has received tremendous financial and prayer support to date, they currently need an additional $1800 of monthly or one-time donations to help them with routine expenses.  Once this goal is met the family will:

* provide training to others who wish to begin online or local church experiences at little or not cost, similar to those we've hosted

* house and provide basic living needs for a short-term missionary intern to form a small group network in London

* meet more of the 500 OPEN users in Europe to train, exchange ideas, and learn from - thereby strengtening international churches with a genuine outward focus to reach spiritually lost people in their communities

Why not get jobs instead of raise funds to live in London?

The family's missionary visa requirements do not allow them to seek employement in the United Kingdom.

How long do you plan to live in London?

The current visa issued allows the Byers family to remain in London until mid-June 2010.  The family will apply for an extension on the visa should God direct them to stay at that time.

What does an average day look like for the Byers family?

Chris's days are spent travelling throughout London and occasionally to other cities in the United Kingdom to meet with pastors registered with OPEN.  He also networks with UK church organization leaders to develop projects that benefit The Church.

Dana films video blogs and writes about the family's ministry experiences in London in an effort to motivate others to share Christ and develop their personal leadership skills.

Together, the couple film video messages weekly used in church online experiences.  From their home they administrate two Greenwich Time Zone church online experiences and oversee a team of volunteers who assist in the process.  They also lead a small group online weekly (called "The Global Posse") of people from various countries who are seeking to learn more about God or to be discipled in their personal relationships with Christ.

Blake - age 5 - attends a public primary school and is enrolled in Year One.

Mackenzie - age 3 - attends nursery in a primary school.

Because the family's best strides in sharing Christ's love have come through relationships formed, they strive to have local friends into their home regularly.
